News: Dwarka Peeth Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Dies At 99

 Master Swaroopanand, who was the Shankracharya of Dwarka, Sharda, and Jyotish Peeth, was not saving great for north of a year.


Dwarka peeth Shankaracharya Master Swaroopanand Saraswati passed on at 99 years old in Madhya Pradesh's Narsinghpur locale on Sunday, his associate said.

Master Swaroopanand, who was the Shankracharya of Dwarka, Sharda, and Jyotish Peeth, was not saving great for north of a year, he said.



He passed on at his Ashram in the Narsinghpur locale around 3:30 PM, Master Sadanand Maharaj, second-in-order (known as Dandi Master) of the Dwarka Peeth, told PTI. The Shankaracharya was brought into the world as Pothiram Upadhyay in Dighori town in the Seoni region of Madhya Pradesh in 1924. He had left his home in quest for God at 9 years old. He was imprisoned during the opportunity battle.


He became Shankracharya in 1981, his adherents said, adding Shankaracharya's 99th birthday celebration was Commended as of late.
